KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, development and delivery of STT and TTS solutions for enterprise use cases such as transcription, voicebots, audio automation and speech-enabled workflows.
- Guide the team in selecting the right models, designing training and fine-tuning approaches, preparing datasets, and defining evaluation methods for speech systems.
- Drive technical decisions for both real-time streaming and batch audio processing, with focus on latency, throughput, reliability and operational scalability.
- Review and supervise model performance, error analysis and benchmarking, and ensure the team continuously improves quality based on data, testing and business feedback.
- Work closely with platform and backend teams to make sure models are packaged, deployed, monitored and integrated into production services correctly.
- Set engineering standards, delivery priorities and best practices for audio AI development, documentation and technical quality.
- Mentor team members, coordinate work across the team, and support the growth of technical capability and ownership within team.
- Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria and align delivered solutions with measurable business value.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience in AI/ML, Speech AI, other AI projects, OR related Software Engineering roles with strong interest in AI.
- Strong hands-on experience building and deploying STT/ASR and/or TTS solutions, ideally in production environments.
- Practical experience with real-time or near real-time speech systems, or strong experience with batch audio processing pipelines.
- Solid Python skills and strong experience with frameworks and tools such as PyTorch, HuggingFace or similar ML ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of speech AI pipelines including data preparation, model training, fine-tuning, inference, evaluation and optimization.
- Experience defining and using quality metrics for speech systems such as WER, CER, MOS, latency and service reliability indicators.
- Experience improving model and service quality through experimentation, benchmarking, error analysis and iterative tuning.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading technical delivery from idea through production rollout.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical depth with coordination, prioritization and team leadership.
- Fluent English - spoken and written.
