IT Blog #9 | Built by the engagement culture - From Code to Culture

In the fast-moving world of tech, Home Credit IT team is different—highly skilled, deeply collaborative, and driven by both innovation and connection.
A Tech Team That Powers Millions
At Home Credit Vietnam, our in-house IT team is 300 strong, covering all core capabilities like Software Engineering, Testing, DevOps, Data,…. This powerhouse team runs one of the largest consumer finance systems in Vietnam, serving over 16 million users. With a scale comparable to top-tier tech startups, our IT don’t just keep systems running safely and smoothly, they also grow their expertise in meaningful and challenging ways.
Because here, we believe “Technology thrives when people are inspired.”
And that’s why our culture of engagement is crucial at IT Home Credit. You're part of a real community, one that supports each other, grows together, and builds value beyond the screen.
1. Celebrating People, Not Just Performance
At Home Credit, we don’t just celebrate what you achieve, we honor how you do it through awards like Best Employee spotlight those going above and beyond, while DNA Stars recognize individuals who embody our core values, real-life examples of passion, positivity, and purpose. These aren’t just trophies, they’re how we build a culture that motivates and uplifts.

2. Engagement, the IT Way
“Engagement here isn't a campaign or a corporate initiative. It is a way of life - woven naturally into everyday moments, big and small”
Every activity is tailored to match the natural rhythm and personality of IT.
Whether it’s a laid-back Happy Hour or an energizing Teambuilding, these moments help us unwind, connect on a personal level, and strengthen the bonds that drive our collaboration. It’s where roles fade, laughter takes over, and real team spirit comes to life.

Physical wellness matters too, challenges like the Home Sport Run Challenge, Football Cup, and Plank Challenge aren't just for fitness—they spark teamwork, resilience, and shared victories.

And beyond the big events, connection lives in the little things: a coffee with a teammate, a few rounds of Pickleball after work, or after work PS5 battles. These internal clubs are where friendships grow beyond the keyboard—where everyone finds their tribe and truly belongs.

3. A Culture of Learning – Lead by Learning, Grow by Sharing
In a tech world that changes by the second, learning is survival. At IT Home Credit, what sets us apart?
“Learning isn’t just a task - it’s a culture. It’s a continuous flow powered by curiosity, collaboration, and a genuine desire to get better”
Every learning initiative starts with real needs from real people. IT Blog, written by in-house experts, dives into deep tech knowledge and trends with insights straight from the front lines. It’s knowledge with context, not just content. Meanwhile, Homie Talk sessions offer safe, open spaces to talk about everything, from tech skills to soft skills, or anything worth sharing. There are no “teachers” or “students”—just peers learning together.
We also run personalized internal trainings, crafted by our own team members. That means content that’s relevant, delivery that makes sense, and outcomes that actually stick. Everyone becomes both a learner and a teacher. It’s organic, practical, and always evolving. Because here, learning isn’t locked in a classroom—it’s alive in our culture.

4. We Listen. We Empower. We Grow
A great workplace doesn’t just give you room to grow - it truly listens.
“Every voice matters. Every voice is heard and acted upon”
Our monthly Bits & Bytes newsletter brings you the full scoop on everything happening in IT, from major projects and people highlights to culture updates and new joiners. It’s more than just news, it’s the pulse of our tribe. Then there’s Breakfast with the CIO, a casual space to meet with leadership, ask questions, and share thoughts—no filters, no distance, just real talk.
And when we need to zoom out and look at the big picture, our IT Townhalls bring everyone together to talk strategy, vision, and the road ahead. These are open, transparent sessions where ideas are welcome, feedback is expected, and connection is real.
