KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Product Strategy Management:
- Product Portfolio Management: Manage and optimize the product portfolio to ensure a balanced mix of products that meet customer needs and business objectives. Regularly review the portfolio to identify gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for new product development or product retirement.
- Product Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, including modifications and enhancements to existing products, ensuring they remain competitive and relevant in the market.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from introduction to decline, ensuring each stage is managed effectively. Develop and execute strategies for product launches, growth, maturity, and phase-out.
- Value Proposition Development: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and communicate a compelling product value proposition. Ensure the value proposition is clearly understood and communicated across all marketing channels.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Work with legal and compliance teams to address any issues.
2. Product Development:
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use this data to inform product strategy and development.
- Customer Focus: Gather and analyze customer feedback to understand their needs and preferences. Use this information to drive product improvements and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Project Management: Lead the development of new insurance products from concept to launch. This includes market research, product design, tendering, compliance with regulatory requirements… to ensure alignment on product objectives, customer needs and performance goals.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to sales and customer service teams on new products and updates. Develop product documentation and training materials.
3. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management. Make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
4. Communication: Develop and maintain clear and effective communication channels regarding product updates, changes, and performance. Ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned on product strategies and goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in product development, project management, go-to-market strategy within the insurance industry. Experience with life, health, or property and casualty insurance products is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of insurance products and regulatory environment
- Experience in developing and communicating product value propositions
- Experience in product portfolio management and optimization
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results within deadlines.
- Proficiency in data analysis and market research
