EMPLOYEE STORY | "ON A SUNNY DAY, MY BOSS TEXTED ME ASKING IF I WANTED TO TAKE A BUSINESS TRIP TO INDIA?"

Being an employee at Home - besides all the skillset and advanced processes you will gain, there are also chances for abroad business trips that come out of the blue, opening up many new and exciting experiences

What would it be like to go on a business trip to India? Let's meet Han Tran from Risk & Collection Division at Home Credit Vietnam - to hear about this unforgettable business trip 🙌

💬 Hi Hân, can you share a bit about yourself and your job at Home Credit?

Hello, I'm Hân, currently working in Business Analysis Department, Risk Division. Our responsibility is to build processes and strategies for the loan collection before we deploy it to the operation team. To put it simply, we will classify the types of contracts and decide the collection process and method to use. Since then, we have brought all those processes into the system to ensure smooth operation.

💬 We heard you were involved in an exciting business trip to India and got excellent feedback from the Indian project team. Can you share your experience regarding this journey?

I remember it was my day off. Then my line manager sent me a message asking if I were interested in a business trip to India.

In the Risk division at Home, we have an annual exchange program, allowing employees to travel to a specific country in the group to exchange and learn processes from each other. This year, we have a chance to visit Home Credit India. I was nervous because this was my first overseas business trip alone. However, with careful preparation, and enthusiastic support from my colleagues at Home Credit India, I was much more confident about that business trip. Everything in India was relatively new to me. I lived in a high-tech area, gathering quite a few big financial companies in India. The colleagues here were all amazingly friendly and supportive, and what surprised me the most was that everyone there was very interested in taking care of their health. Many of my colleagues were vegetarian for this reason.

Overall, it was a very unique, exciting experience for me. I met many new people, especially top IT experts from the group. Moreover, my business trip was successful, and I received good feedback. We have automated some steps to make the process less manual, saving about 300 person-days a month for our employees there. The feeling of being an expert, working, and training with international colleagues is also a cool thing to try

💬 BA and DA positions are currently considered "hot jobs" in the market. Can Han share a bit about BA work at Home? Is Home Credit a suitable environment for your career path?

I believe Home is an ideal environment, especially for fresh graduates. The process here is standardized for you to learn about the system, with a solid core and standards. I was surprised by our professional technique and procedures when I first entered. The system here is also "pro". We use professional database platforms such as Oracle. On the other hand, Home Credit always provides employees with new opportunities to help us grow as much as possible. In addition to good benefits, the Home's environment is also very international. You will be able to work with foreign leaders and colleagues and have the opportunity to go on business trips abroad.

💬 So what are the must-have requirements to apply to Home as a BA?

It only takes a person with a little logical thinking and analytical skill to do the job as you will have much on-the-job training to get used to the system. The most important thing, I believe, is your willingness to learn: you are ready and willing to do it. As long as you are always eager to learn, there will always be a chance for you to be a Home member!

Thank you so much, Han, for your exciting story. We wish you a lot of success in your future endeavor at Home!
