💬 Hi Phuc, can you introduce a bit about yourself and your work at Home Credit?
Hello, I'm Phuc Phan – a Sofware Test Engineer Automation. I've been working at Home for 2 years and 9 months. At Home, IT is divided into two major branches: IT Development and IT Operation. For me, I am responsible for testing products, writing scripts for automated testing processes, and ensuring the quality of products and features before launching.
💬 How does Phuc feel about working at Home, is it any different from working in IT outside?
I actually came to Home without knowing much about the compan. After my graduation, I thought I would keep working for outsourcing companies like before. Home is the first company I work that offer real products and customers are real people around me.
Unlike other outsourcing companies, where we can only see and do things that are very far from the actual product and the customer's experience, at Home, I can really feel the impact of my works on others departments and customer's experience.
I still remember when I first joined Home, there was a very interesting training course called "One day as a Sales Assistant". I had the chance to go to Dien May Xanh, The Gioi Di Dong and acted as a true sales member: contact customers, close deals, do actual contracts. That experience gave me a belief that what I am doing here was really contributing to the life Vietnamese people, that I was fulfilling a very meaningful "mission" 😊 So I believe that joining Home is a right choice of my life!
Another memorable moment is when testing the product "Buy now Pay later" with Tiki – one of our partners, I was allowed to visit Tiki's office to test with them. That was also the first time in my life that I worked closely with a partner and go through every single step of testing with them.
💬As an IT member, what do you think about the trend of “digitalization” at Home?
I highly appreciate Home's vision – we always stay on top of new trends and ready to apply new technology. Home is currently applying many new technologies, such as Azure DevOps, Flutter, React Js... for mobile development. For testing, we are currently using Selenium, Appium... All are popular trends in the market, so I can always be confident that at Home, I will never be outdated.
In addition, I also strongly value the trend of digitalization in the company. For example, in the past, our customers had to fill out forms and sign on papers, now we have paperless, e-signing systems... I joined Home from the end of 2019 until now and noticed that we have changed from year to year: being more active, more innovative to optimize products and deliver better experiences to customers. 💬 So do you have any advice for IT people who are also looking to apply for Home Credit?
I highly recommend young talents to apply for Home, as besides developing your professional skills (that's for sure!), you will also gain the chance to hone your soft skills through several workshops, skill classes. The environment at Home is very equal and opportunities are shared equally for everyone, so all you need to do is keep trying hard and you will definitely thrive 😊

To be frank, when I work, I just focus on my job and try to do as best as I can. Gaining an award such as DNA is something I never dream of, as I know there are many top talents around who contribute a lot to the company. I was super happy when being selected as a DNA Star and that even pushed me to try harder. 😊
